Will The New Google OS Capture More Ad Revenue

When you think of advertising on the internet what is the first company that you think of? Most people will tell you that the first company that comes to mind for online advertising is Google. The Google Adsense and Adwords business model has become a gold standard for getting your advertising campaign out to the billions of people on the internet quickly, easily and cheaply.

Well Google has announced over at their blog that they are going extending their reach into web. Coming off the success of the launch of their Chrome web browser that have announced plans to release a Chrome Operating System. The new Chrome OS will be targeting people that spend the majority of their time on the web. With the first release being planned for sometime in 2010 on netbooks to start.

Think about that just from the point of view of an advertiser that uses the Google platform for their advertising campaigns. Google is positioning themselves to be an all encompassing platform of services that will have access to billions of potential advertising customers from the moment they put their eyes on the computer screen.

Just from the perspective of an advertiser the appeal of working with the Google platform is becoming to broad to ignore. Even though advertising numbers have been down in the last year due to the recession. The big wigs over at Google have continued to push out their brand and services with new technologies that are only going to extend their reach into the wallets of the public.
